Extend your ring finger with your thumb and hold it for 10 seconds

Did you know that you can achieve complete harmony and peace with your own hands? Mudras or spiritual gestures are the different positions of the arms and are important when practicing yoga. It will bring happiness to your life.

It is believed that the human body consists of five elements (fire, air, space, water, and earth).

Thumb: fire
Index: air
Home: space
Ring finger: water
Little finger: Earth
Because of the numerous nerve endings concentrated in the fingers, they are believed to contain vital points. When we press on these energy points, we can manipulate the elements that support the flow of energy throughout the body.

It’s exciting because you can do it anywhere, anytime, and all you need is a few minutes and a place to relax.

Below we give you instructions on how to practice Mudras and what are their benefits:

Agni Mudra (Fire Mudra)

Instructions for use: Bring the ring finger to the palm of the hand, press the second phalanx with the base of the thumb, then extend the other fingers.

Benefits: This pose strengthens the immune system and improves metabolism.

Vayu Mudra (Air Mudra)

Instructions: Fold the pointer into your palm and press with the base of your thumb. Extend the other three fingers.

Its benefits: Treats stomach bloating and constipation.

Shunya Mudra (Void Mudra)

Instructions: Using the base of your thumb, press down on the first knuckle of the middle finger.

Benefits: Useful for nausea, dizziness, and problems with the tongue, nose, and ear.

Varuna Mudra (Water Mudra)

Directions: Touch the tip of your little finger to the tip of your thumb, but do not press too hard. The other fingers should remain straight. Do this in a sitting position with your legs crossed.

Benefits: This mudra helps relieve pain and reduce dry mouth.

Prithvi Mudra for Healing (Earth Mudra)

Instructions for use: Touch the tip of your ring finger to the tip of your thumb. Next, press your two fingers together and extend the other fingers.

Benefits: This will adjust the balance of earth elements in your body and aid in the digestion process.

Gyana Mudra for Healing (Knowledge Mudra)
Instructions: Sit in the lotus position and place your hand on your knee. Next, touch the tip of your index finger and the tip of your thumb and close or extend the other three fingers.

Benefits: This pose relaxes the mind and improves concentration. Support intelligence, treat insomnia, manage stress, and reduce depression.

Healing Prana (Mudra of Life)

Instructions for use: Bend your little finger and ring finger, then touch the ends of these two fingers with the tip of your thumb.

Benefits: This hand position will prevent fatigue and treat eye problems. It also activates the body and strengthens the immune system.
