Description

Whirl up 10 Green Energy Smoothies! Fresh spinach, sweet banana, tangy pineapple, and fiery ginger combine in a simple blend for an ultimate detox and energy lift.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Spinach: 10 cups, packed
  • Ripe Bananas: 5 medium
  • Frozen Pineapple Chunks: 2 cups
  • Coconut Water: 6 cups
  • Fresh Ginger: 2-inch piece, peeled
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: from 2 large lemons (approx. 1/2 cup)
  • Chia Seeds: 4 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the ingredients. Thoroughly wash the fresh spinach. Peel the ripe bananas and break them into smaller pieces. Carefully peel the fresh ginger piece. Juice the two large lemons to yield about 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  2. Step 2: Combine initial ingredients. In a high-speed blender, pour in the coconut water and fresh lemon juice. Add the peeled ginger, chia seeds, banana pieces, and frozen pineapple chunks.
  3. Step 3: Add greens and blend. Add the packed fresh spinach to the blender, filling it as much as possible. If your blender cannot accommodate all ingredients at once for 10 servings, you will need to blend the recipe in two separate batches. Secure the blender lid.
  4. Step 4: Achieve smooth consistency. Start blending on a low speed, gradually increasing to high, and blend until all ingredients are completely smooth and no leafy chunks remain. If the mixture appears too thick, add a little more coconut water or filtered water, 1/4 cup at a time, until your desired consistency is achieved.
  5. Step 5: Portion and store. Pour the finished "Green Energy Smoothies" into individual serving glasses or airtight, sealable jars. These delicious detox drinks can be enjoyed immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. For longer storage, freeze in individual portions and thaw overnight in the refrigerator before consuming.

Notes

  • To keep your "Green Energy Smoothies" at their best, store them in airtight jars in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze individual servings for a quick grab-and-go option, just remember to thaw them overnight in the fridge.
  • If your smoothie has separated or thickened a bit in the fridge, simply give it a good shake or a quick re-blend with a splash more coconut water or filtered water to revive its perfect consistency.
  • For an extra refreshing treat, serve your vibrant green smoothie over ice, or transform it into a delicious smoothie bowl by adding your favorite toppings like granola, fresh fruit, or a sprinkle of extra chia seeds.
  • For the silkiest smooth texture, always add your liquids first, followed by softer ingredients like bananas, then frozen fruit, and finally layer the spinach on top; this helps pull everything down for a thorough blend, especially if you're blending in batches.
