You must learn to keep your mouth shut about these five things

Many of us have a habit of saying a lot of things to people who don’t deserve it. We like to be an open book and have no problem with that, but some people clearly don’t have the morals to keep that to themselves. They often exploit their knowledge about us, distort it in their own words, and express it differently to people who don’t know us. This leads to a bad impression and weird gossip and no one wants that. Everyone loves a little mystery.

That’s why it’s so important to know who you can trust and provide information about yourself, because not everyone will be nice about it. It’s also helpful to know what to expect from people and get a sense of their atmosphere.

In this world, you can’t trust everyone and get hurt later just because you didn’t check on them. Try to keep things to yourself when you get a bad feeling from someone. Trust your courage.

1- Past resentment

We all have bad and weird things to share from the past. This could be anything from the girl you hated at school to your coming out story.

First of all, you should do your best to get rid of these negative feelings. If you cannot do this, the best option is to communicate positively with your partner. Your partner likely wants what’s best for you and offers constructive criticism rather than attacking your stupidity.

You need to get rid of the negative energy surrounding you and try to maintain all your focus possible to motivate yourself.

2- Physical ownership

We all know that some things are worth much more than their monetary value. However, we are too attached to useless things like cars and phones. It’s okay to believe in treating yourself, but don’t get too attached to anything you buy, no matter how much you paid for it. It’s easy to fall into the endless pit of arrogance that can lead you to an obsessive nature. You may not realize it, but people will see it as a bad habit and label you as a bad person. Be humble, it’s the new rudeness.

3- Goals for the future

Even science says that you are more likely to achieve your goal if you do not share it with others. Here’s how it works: When you tell others about your dreams and goals, they may discourage you or try to achieve them in order to steal them from you. Eventually, you will feel like someone else is living your dream and you will no longer have any motivation. Feel free to say everything once you have achieved what you intended to achieve.

4- Your income

Never tell anyone how much you earn. Maybe only a few people should know what you earn, and those should be the people you share your workplace with, and maybe not even them. You don’t want everyone to know what you earn and where you stand financially. If you are rich it sounds like bragging, if you are not very rich it sounds like complaining. It can radically change your relationships with others. When more people know how much you earn, their behavior towards you will definitely change depending on their financial situation.

5- Good deeds

We know that doing good deeds attracts positive karma. This is absolutely true. Never let yourself be discouraged from doing or bragging about good things. Take a different point of view instead of talking about yourself. This will undo the good you’ve done and you’ll come out radiant. Especially when you’re doing charity work, you’re not in the spotlight. People in need deserve it, not you.
